The UAV is fully autonomous (using ultrasonic sensors to detect obstacles), so a single pilot can control a swarm, reducing search times. The UAV has a NoIR filter camera that uses human recognition to autonomously locate the missing/injured person(s) with the aid of an IR-LED camera which works at night, additionally, the thermal camera is more effective in fog. Once the UAV has identified a person a picture is sent to the GCS where a human will verify if it is the missing/injured person(s). The UAV is capable of deploying a small payload to assist the person(s).
