Assembly and Testing

The drone is easily assembled and can be fixed efficiently in the field if something were to go wrong or break.

The overall aim was to have fully assembled the drone with all subsystems integrated together so they all work together collectively and the project purpose can be fulfilled. This overall goal was broken down into smaller steps, first by having each subsystem working on its own and then integrating each working subsystem together on the drone frame.

Test procedures are written for every test. These include a Test ID which shows the test being done and what number test it is for this specific test procedure (in case that the component(s) fail the initial or subsequent tests, prerequisites which shows what is needed for the test to be done, the test input, instructions for how to carry out the test, the expectation of the test and finally the evaluation criteria. The test procedures are written with regard to what each subsection requires. Some tests can only be carried out with specific equipment in labs, and so we required access to those labs, others can be done anywhere.
